If you paid with Afterpay and returned an item, we’ll notify Afterpay as soon as your return has been processed. Afterpay will then update your payment plan based on the refund amount.
How will my refund be applied?
Refunds are applied to your last payments first. This means Afterpay may:
- Reduce your remaining payments
- Cancel future payments
- Refund any extra amount back to the debit or credit card linked to your Afterpay account
If you’ve already made a payment and your refund is more than what you still owe, the extra amount will be refunded to your linked card. Please allow 3–5 business days for your bank to process the refund back to your card.
Example:
If your order was $400 across 4 payments of $100, and you returned $250 worth of items:
- Your 4th payment of $100 would be cancelled
- Your 3rd payment of $100 would be cancelled
- Your 2nd payment would be reduced to $50
New Zealand customers
If you’re shopping from New Zealand:
- Exchange rate: The exchange rate is set by your payment provider at the time of purchase.
- Refund amount: You’ll receive back exactly what you paid in NZD, excluding any duties, customs charges or fees.
- Bank charges: Any additional charges from your bank can’t be refunded by THE ICONIC. Please contact your bank for more information.
